Municipal coffers Murcia fatten almost 4 million with tax inspections from 2021

The Municipal Agency imposed fines for nearly 800,000 euros last year following investigation, especially by IAE and IBI

The municipality of Murcia, the Agencia Tributaria Municipal and of the inspectorate of the Council, it regained for municipal coffers almost four million euros (collection and fines) in 2021, compared to $3 million the previous year, during the campaign against tax fraud.

Taxes of economic activities (IAE) and real property losses (IBI) usurps the sanctions imposed as a result of inspections, which in total amounted to €772.984. These sanctions are seven times more than the 2020 (period in which $109.705 euros for this same concept).

The inspector has focused on the industrial sectors, in companies with a high turnover; and, in the area, whose adoption throughout the municipality of Murcia. In the past seven years (from 2015 to 2021), the inspection of taxation has earned income of eur 22.5 million for contributions discovered (liquidations carried out as a result of the audit and investigation) in the municipality. Action that has also impacted on the high standards in the collection, increasing by $14 million euros.

“ these data are particularly important if we consider that, from 2017 and for various reasons, the main municipal taxes have been experiencing a marked decline, ” remarked Lorca. Among the reasons include judgments as those of capital gains or changes of the classification of a rustic urban land in several areas of the municipality. In the latter case, was ruled out of urban land cadastral to those sectors of serviced land sectorizado that did not have partial, finally adopted and in force, with which i had to pay the IBI.

It has also been diminished revenue collection from five years ago by the exemption from the rate of administration of activities and, since the beginning of the pandemic, for the non-payment of fees for the occupation of public of the terraces.

From the city stress that, in general and taking into account all income that manages this agency, the fiscal year closed in 2021 with an increase of 9.4 million euros in the collection, with regard to 2020. And that “ despite the freezing of all taxes and public fees and are not updated the IPC ”. An example of the impact of these measures is exempted from payment for the terraces, reflecting a decrease in income of eur 1.2 million per year.

However, increased receipts in more than 5 million urban IBI by 1.3 million and €852,000 IAE in the trash. Despite the fear of a sharp decline in capital gains (following the judgment of the constitutional court which quashed the formula for its calculation), Murcia closed 2021 with an increase of collection over half a million euros, according to data of the agency.
